Starting point: Farmers in the Czech Republic had no access to agrometeorological data in a usable form.
Delivered: A platform that processes data from weather stations in real time, normalises it and visualises it.
Result: Thousands of farmers with real-time data for daily operational decisions.

Beautiful Garden — DSS-FS

Starting point: Czech University of Life Sciences Prague needed a decision support system for smart irrigation within an OP PPR grant project.
Delivered: Complete pipeline — sensor → data aggregation → ML model → recommendation for site managers.
Result: Working system for research and practice, co-funded by the EU.

Václav Opatrný started software and ERP work in 1994, when Czech companies were just discovering the possibilities of enterprise information systems. OSG Plzeň, s.r.o. was later established on 2 July 2001. He started on the IBM AS/400 platform — a system that still powers the critical infrastructure of banks and manufacturers worldwide. That experience gave him a deep understanding of what truly reliable IT means: not the latest trend, but a solution that still works in ten years.

Over three decades he has guided dozens of companies through digital transformation — from migrating out of legacy systems to implementing Portolan ERP solutions and fully automating accounting and financial processes. His approach is pragmatic: first understand how the business actually works, then suggest the solution. No unnecessary modules, no overpriced licences.

As the exclusive guarantor of Portolan CS in the Czech Republic, he ensures local support in Czech, implementation aligned with Czech legislation and long-term care for every client. For Václav a project is not finished at handover — it is finished when the client says it works.

Martin Opatrný is someone who sees opportunity where others see only data. He studied at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, specialising in landscape design and soil-drought prediction — a field that taught him to work with complex spatial data and find patterns in chaotic information.

Today he is also an institutional research specialist at Anglo-American University in Prague, where he analyses data on student success and satisfaction and helps university leadership make strategic decisions. He brings that same analytical discipline to OSG: every project, every digital strategy is built on data, not impressions.

Yet his creative approach does not stop at numbers. Martin has travelled to over 50 countries, leads long-term cultural and educational projects and runs an apple orchard with juice production called Opatrné jablko. That blend of analytical thinking, creative energy and hands-on experience makes him the ideal partner for businesses seeking original digital solutions.
